PEARLS FOR THE MONTH OF JUNE

Cool and calm Pearl is the birth gem(stone)for the summer month of June.
       Pearls are unusual gems created inside the sea shells called mollusks.
The largest known pearl was found in Philippines in 1934 and weighs 14 lb. and is a product of giant clam.Natural pearls are rare and expensive as compared to cultured or farmed pearls,and can be distinguished only by using gemological x-ray examining the center of pearl.
     Pearls are cherished as symbol of perfection and purity,elegance and affluence and are
  primarily used in jewelry but in past they were crushed and used in cosmetics,medicines
 and even in paint formulations.

The holiday of Cinco De Mayo, The 5th Of May, commemorates the victory of the Mexican militia over the French army at The Battle Of Puebla in 1862. It is primarily a regional holiday celebrated in the Mexican state capital city of Puebla and throughout the state of Puebla, with some limited recognition in other parts of Mexico, and especially in U.S. cities with a significant Mexican population. It is not, as many people think, Mexico's Independence Day, which is actually September 16. 
      A day to celebrate be together,have fun,but play safe.Beaches in California are funfilled,families and friends find a reason to get together,have a day of celebrations.
      We did the same,made it a ladies day out,started with driving down to beach at noon,beautiful day for the walk and a picnic.So much to talk about,unbelievable.Can you predict what was the talk about,fashion of course! There were times when people bought dresses and then went around looking for accessories,guess what,no more;now we all buy our best jewelry,the most beautiful looking tiniest clutch and cutest sexy shoes,all complementing each other and then set our foot out for a dress because now we are left out with one variable......a dress.
       The dress could be in a solid color.mixtur,short,long.........or we could shop for design and finally get it altered to fit ,or these days depend on our designer to furbish it from scratch.
        And believe me all this is planned at a beach party and executed over the next few weeks because coming up is the wedding season .
         You better take out your Best Jewels .Next is 4th of July.We actually just need a reason,why a reason,just because.........
